An Affidavit, or sworn declaration, is a legal document in which a person declares certain facts as true under oath. This document must be signed in the presence of a notary public, who certifies the authenticity of the signature and the oath.

Some examples of Affidavits and their use are:

Personal statements: How to confirm residence, income or marital status.
Legal processes: Present evidence in judicial or administrative cases.
Official procedures: Applications for government permits, licenses, or benefits.
